Important firmware update for M2 EVO MK2

Dear OMPHOBBY Customers,

Despite our best efforts to make OFS3 as functional and safe as possible at launch, it is impossible for us to test every single scenario the model may be put into. From initial customer feedback, it was found that some receivers on the market send data at a slightly different rate (baud rate) than the established protocol standards. This deviation can in some cases be severe enough to make OFS3, running on its launch firmware, unable to read receiver frames correctly, leading to twitching controls, random, brief, tail motor startups, and the inhibition of certain protection and failsafe modes.

OMPHOBBY therefore advises ALL OFS3 USERS to IMMEDIATELY UPDATE to firmware M2.011.21, which fixes this issue by dynamically adjusting to the protocol’s baud rate instead of simply expecting the protocol standard, and has been tested successfully deviant receivers. OFS3 firmware M2.011.21 can be found under the following link, and can be updated through the OMPHOBBY iOS and Android app. Firmware update instructions can be found in the OFS3 User Guide on page 27.

All OFS3 units shipped after today (20/12/24) will already be updated to the latest firmware and will not be affected.
